The RI 4184 and RI 4185 are primarily designed to fit into Ranatec’s shield boxes, but can be used separately.
USB 2.0 A-A Feedthrough Filter
The Ranatec RI 4182 is a high performance feedthrough filter for all types of applications where LAN signals need to be fed through a shielded wall. It has got very good EMI filter suppression performance over all mobile frequency bands.
The Ranatec USB 2.0 Feedthrough Filter is designed to transmit USB 2.0 Hi-Speed signals through shielded enclosures while maintaining signal integrity. It supports data rates up to 480 Mbps and includes a filtered USB device power feedthrough of up to 900 mA. The filter is panel mountable, making it ideal for applications requiring USB connectivity within shielded environments.

Electrical Interfaces
The physical connectors are located at each end of RI 4184 and RI 4185. The filters are reciprocal, which means the USB host can be attached to any of the connectors. RI 4184 can supply two USB devices with up to 900 mA each, and RI 4185 can supply one USB device with up to 900 mA.
Mechanical Interfaces
RI 4184 and RI 4185 is prepared for panel mounting with two threaded M3 screwholes on the front. It is delivered with an EMC shielding gasket for simple and reliable mounting.
